"Starting a construction job in the middle of winter in Michigan isn't the ideal time of year to break ground.  However, with DTE Energy's Construction Heat program, we were able to use Natural Gas from DTE and temporary natural gas heaters provided by Mobile Air Inc. to thaw the frozen ground in less than one week.  DTE Energy's crews came through and completed our service line and meter installation on the same day and we were able to use Natural Gas instead of propane right away."

Hot Tot pilot equipment loan program in Traverse City, MI

"What I like best about DTE Energy's Construction Heat equipment 'pilot' program, using the Hot Tot temporary Natural Gas heater, is that it's easy to use and helped me with my new house being constructed on Old Mission Peninsula.  With the dry radiant heat that the Hot Tot temporary Natural Gas heater provided, I was able to pour the concrete floor in the basement during the coldest winter months in northern Michigan.  I definitely recommend this program and product to everyone building in Michigan and I'm extremely satisfied with DTE Energy's Construction Heat equipment 'pilot' program."

"Using DTE Energy's Construction Heat program, we were able to complete this job sooner than we originally planned and we were in good shape to stay ahead of schedule.  Using natural gas for temporary heat speeds up the drying process because it's a drier heat source. Concrete, drywall mud and paint all dried much more quickly.  The temporary heaters that we used were provided by Temp-Air and we also used them to thaw the ground."
