For the DTE Energy Foundation, "Leadership" encompasses activity on two planes personal and institutional. With rare exception, thriving communities benefit from the commitment of a group of talented, dedicated individuals who share an interest in making their community the best it can be for all its residents. The Foundation will place special emphasis on programs that promote and nurture these traits in young people. In addition, vibrant communities also benefit from the efforts of a core group of institutions dedicated to improving the community's quality of life. This core ranges from local United Ways to the area's leading cultural institutions.
