Examples of questionable business ethics include confidential information disclosure, conflicts of interest, copyright usage, drug use, employment law, environmental concerns, falsifying reports, gifts and gratuities, government contracts, harassment and discrimination, improper use of company property, safety, theft, unlicensed software and workplace violence.

Examples of questionable auditing, accounting or internal controls issues include: affiliate transactions, antitrust issues, by- passing internal controls, conflicts of interest, "cooking the books", embezzlement, financial reporting data integrity, misappropriation of funds, misclassification of assets, securities and insider trading and unauthorized transactions.
