To qualify for the free surge device installation promotion (a value up to $99.99), customers must enroll in an eligible meter-based surge protection plan, either Whole Home Surge Protection or Surge Protection Plus, between June 22, 2026 and July 31, 2026.

• Customers who enroll in either Whole Home Surge Protection or Surge Protection Plus with a 30-amp device will receive free installation (a $99.99 value).
• Customers who enroll in Surge Protection Plus with a 40-amp device will receive a discounted installation fee of $149.99 that will be applied to their DTE bill upon enrollment.

This promotion is available only to customers who enroll in a new surge protection plan and cannot be combined with other offers. Customers must remain enrolled in an eligible surge protection plan for a minimum of 12 months and maintain an active account to qualify for the surge device installation promotion. If the plan is canceled before the 12-month period ends, a $99.99 installation fee and an additional early termination and device removal fee of $150 will be charged to customer’s DTE Energy account.
