Anyone who has a DTE Energy account and a valid email address can create an online account.
You can make one-time payments using Guest Pay in our Billing & Payment section. You will need to have either the DTE account number or the account holder’s last name and service address to make an online payment.
By creating an online account, you can update contact information, view your current/previous bills, payment program eligibility and schedule recurring payments. You will need to provide the service address or account number and the form of identification you provided when the service account was created.
When you identify yourself in the online account process, all accounts attached to you through positive identification (Social Security number, passport or state ID) will be associated with your username or email address. If you receive one DTE Energy bill for both your natural gas and electric service, you need to create only one online account. If you have both residential and business accounts, you will need to use a different email address and password for each account. To switch from one account to another, sign out of the current email address and sign in with the other one.
We encourage you to use our password strength indicator to create a strong password.
If you have forgotten your password, select Forgot Password. Provide your email address associated with your DTE Energy online account and we will send you a link to reset your password. Please note: this link is only active for eight hours.
